16/1/96 - Product information: Connection of frequency inverters to the AS-Interface
The AS-Interface slaves with
serial interface for data exchange and configuration of frequency inverters
allow an easy conection of the inverters to the AS-Interface possible.The
AS-Interface output data serve to control the inverter. The commands
Start/Stop, foreward/backward and 7 different frequencies can be transmitted to
the inverter. The AS-Interface input data serve to transmit status and error
messages from the inverter to the AS-Interface master.Furthermore it is
possible - similar to InterBus and PROFIBUS - to store the configuration of the
inverter. The data is not stored in the PLC but in the AS-Interface slave.
Upload and download can be executed controlled by the AS-Interface master or
manually with the help of one push button and two LEDs. Special PLC programs to
operate the inverters via AS-Interface are not needed. Therefore the frequency
inverters can work together with any PLC via AS-Interface.
