What is Safety over EtherCAT?

Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) is a safety profile for transmitting safety-critical data over EtherCAT. It meets the highest safety requirements of SIL3, thereby enabling safe data communication.

ASi-3 Safety over EtherCAT Gateway

The EtherCAT gateway ASi-5/ASi-3 with integrated safety monitor, Safety over EtherCAT can – as a FSoE master – reliably control and monitor safe drives with a FSoE connection without the use of an additional higher level controller. The Safety over EtherCAT gateway takes over the safe part and safely switches the drives off when needed.
