Integrated decoupling, ASi current measurement in the gateway

Access to ASi master and safety monitor via own software from Bihl+Wiedemann using the diagnostic interface (e.g. USB, RJ45, RS232). For certain devices with Ethernet-based fieldbus (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP), there is also the option of diagnostics and configuration directly via the fieldbus interface.

 

The latest version of the device description file of the gateway/gateway with integrated safety monitor (GSD, GSDML, EDS, etc.) is available in the "Downloads" section of the respective device.

Diagnostic and configuration interface

Detects whether the same address has been assigned to two ASi nodes. Frequent error when using a handheld addressing device.

Recognition of duplicate ASi addresses

Checks the ASi line for interference effects such as noise, external voltages, ...

Using a C-program offers the possibility to run mini-PLC functions with a gateway.

Connection

The connection to ASi and AUX (24 V auxiliary power) is made for modules in the active distributor or blue IP67 housing via the yellow or black ASi profile cable with piercing technology or via an M12 plug. Modules for the control cabinet are connected via terminals and PCB modules via wiring pins, connection wires or terminals.


Line protection: If the module is supplied via a M12 connection with A or B coding, it may only be used with a current load of max. 4 A per pin in acc. with IEC 61076-2-101 and IEC 61076-2-109. A fused tap is recommended. There is no such limitation for modules supplied via piercing contacts.

ASi power supply

The gateway has to be supplied via a special ASi capable power supply. For each ASi network a separate ASi power supply is needed. Suitable for all ASi Gateways and Safety Monitors from Bihl + Wiedemann.


30 V power supply

Supply of up to two ASi circuits via a low-cost 30 V power supply unit, suitable for all ASi gateways and safety monitors with integrated decoupling coils (version "1 power supply, 1 gateway for 2 ASi circuits, low-cost power supplies") and for all 24 V ASi gateways. Integrated decoupling, ASi current measurement in the gateway

Access to ASi master and safety monitor via own software from Bihl+Wiedemann using the diagnostic interface (e.g. USB, RJ45, RS232). For certain devices with Ethernet-based fieldbus (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP), there is also the option of diagnostics and configuration directly via the fieldbus interface.
