EtherCAT Fieldbus system
What is EtherCAT?
EtherCAT (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology) is an open, Ethernet-based fieldbus standard originally developed by Beckhoff Automation, which is being further developed in the EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG). EtherCAT enables communication between devices from different manufacturers without special interface adaptations and is used mainly in automation technology.

EtherCAT ASi-3 Gateways in stainless steel provide an interface for an EtherCAT fieldbus. These ASi gateways are available in various versions with IP20 protection rating.
