DeviceNet

DeviceNet is an open fieldbus standard based on CAN which was developed by Rockwell Automation and which is used in industrial automation. The CAN bus serves as the basis. DeviceNet enables communication between devices made by different manufacturers without any special interface adaptations.

DeviceNet AS-i Gateways

DeviceNet AS-i 3.0 Gateways in stainless steel provide an interface for a DeviceNet fieldbus. These AS-i gateways are available in various versions with IP20 protection rating.

"IP20":
Protected against solid foreign bodies having a diameter of 12.5 mm or larger and against finger contact, not protected against water.


"IP40":

Protected against solid foreign bodies having a diameter of 1.0 mm or larger, protected against access with a wire, no protection against water.

"IP54":

Protection against dust in damaging amounts, complete protection against contact, protection against splashing water in any angle.


"IP65":
Dust-tight, full protection against contact, protection against spray water (jet) from any angle.

"IP67":

Dust-tight, full protection against contact, protection against temporary immersion.

Diagnostic and configuration interface

DeviceNet Master Simulator

The DeviceNet Master Simulator is an easy to use software for data exchange with DeviceNet slaves of many suppliers. The DeviceNet Master Simulator can exchange data with the slaves even without EDS-file. Input data can be read, output data can be written and the DeviceNet diagnosis can be displayed. Furthermore it is possible to read and write any object independent of the state of communication.

 

The DeviceNet Master Simulator offers the possibility to scan a DeviceNet network and find all connected slaves. The I/O data is displayed binary and hexadecimal. In single bit mode it is possible to set an output as long as the mouse button is pressed. The device identification is read out of the DeviceNet slave and displayed together with the I/O data.

 

The DeviceNet Master Simulator consists of the software and a DeviceNet dongle. The DeviceNet dongle is the ideal interface converter between an USB port (the parallel interface of a PC) and DeviceNet. The converter needs no extra power supply. Therefore it is also suitable for mobile use with a laptop or a notebook.
