What is EtherNet/IP?

EtherNet/IP (Ethernet Industrial Protocol) is an open, CIP-based fieldbus standard developed by Rockwell Automation and the ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendor Association) which is used mainly in automation technology. EtherNet/IP enables communication between devices made by different manufacturers without any special interface adaptations.

What is Modbus/TCP?

Modbus TCP/IP is an open fieldbus standard for industrial communication using ethernet. It is used mainly in automation technology and enables communication between devices from different manufacturers without any special interface adaptations.

EtherNet/IP + Modbus/TCP ASi Gateways in stainless steel provide an interface for an EtherNet/IP + Modbus/TCP fieldbus. These ASi gateways are available in various versions with IP20 protection rating.

GE Digital Achilles® Robustness Test (Level 1 and 2, Version No. 3.18)

Ethernet fieldbus interface (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP) and Ethernet diagnostic interface of the ASi-5/ASi-3 gateways are submitted to strict robustness testing via the Achilles Test Software to ensure robustness against vulnerabilities to cyber attacks. The field update capabilities of the gateway enable continuous firmware and security updates to continuously improve the functionality and robustness of the device.
