The Bihl+Wiedemann safe coupling Safe Link enables safe communication via standard WLAN*: For example, if a stationary E-stop is actuated, it is also possible to safely switch off moving wireless applications. Use the wireless form of safe communication for automated guided vehicle systems (AGV systems), storage and retrieval machines (SRMs), conveyor systems in underground mining or other mobile applications.
* WLAN components have to be ordered directly from the respective manufacturer. Devices with Safe Link are compatible with almost all available suppliers.
Beginning in April 2017 we will begin converting articles from screw terminals to push-in terminals. No changes are necessary when placing new orders. More information about the changeover can be found here.
Bihl+Wiedemann GmbH was founded in 1992 in Mannheim, Germany by Jochen Bihl and Bernhard Wiedemann. The highly specialized engineering firm is among the leading providers of safety technology and electronic components for automation technology using AS-Interface.
