Device Replacement Made Easy Thanks to Chip Card

Is it worthwhile to use ASi-5/ASi-3 gateways, even if you do not run any ASi-5 Safety applications? It is, without a doubt! That is because the modern 16 gigabyte chip card offers quite a few improvements and new functions. For example, it simplifies device replacement: If the chip card is inserted into a new gateway that has the same article number, the entire existing configuration will be transferred.

Of course, you can still configure the gateways quite easily. In addition to that, you can now also integrate ASi Safety modules. For example, it is possible to use many safe and standard signals under just one single address.

• Save the entire project – The modern chip card enables all the information including the safety and hardware configuration, parameter data of connected devices, and user comments from ASIMON360 to be retrieved again from the gateway. This makes device replacement faster and easier.
• Advanced diagnostics – You can have a permanent overview of power supply currents and voltages of your ASi installation.
• Industry 4.0 ready – The gateways are ready for IIoT and Industry 4.0 in combination with our 30 V power supplies – without any additional IO-Link interface or other hardware.
